LA21 Application Form 2018

Eligible projects should support and complement national environmental policies such as those on Waste, Biodiversity, Climate Change, Air, Water, Sustainable Development, etc. A wide variety of projects and schemes have been supported under the Fund in previous years including, for example, community gardens, allotments and compost schemes, rainwater conservation schemes, educational initiatives and environmental exhibitions. Potential applicants should be encouraged, at initial contact stage, to link into the overall aims of Local Agenda 21 when preparing their projects and should be made aware of the information service provided by the LA21/ Environmental Awareness Officers.

Please note the following information:

  • Please note the closing date of this scheme is 20 June and Returns will be sent back to the Dept for their final assessment/decision.  The announcement of successful projects will be made the Minister (I anticipate this will be announced between July and August 2018 – although this timeline has not yet been confirmed by the Dept).
  • If successful, projects should start no later than 30 November and completion reports should be returned by 19 April 2019.
  • Finally, if projects involve visits to schools, successful applicants will be subject to Garda Vetting (valid for 3 yrs).

Please note this scheme is for Not for Profit scheme and successful applicants must have Tax Clearance / Tax Reference Number.
