The Durrow Scarecrow Festival now in its 8th year and hosting the All Ireland Scarecrow Championship offers something for everybody both young and old. There are scarecrows everywhere in many different designs and themes, you will find more than one to make you laugh! There is also plenty more on offer in Durrow during the nine day festival including Scarecrow Summer Camp, Live Music by Woodbine, Sweet Freedom, Away with the Fairies, Johnny Keegan, No Limits, Vocem Darú Choir and much more. Craft Workshops, Food & Craft Fair, Adult, Teen & Children’s entertainment, Arts & Crafts Exhibition, Scarecrow Treasure Hunt, Scarecrow Harry Potter Interactive Zone, Raven Haven Averie’s, Clay Art, Face Painting IWW Wrestling, Glitter Tattoos, Ceramics Workshop. Fantastic Entertainment & laughter with Jeca the Clown, Wobbly Circus, Jelly Bean Julie, PigNut Productions & Monsieur Gusto/Passpartout. Bouncy Castles, Fairy Door Workshops, Teddy Bears Picnic, Large Bale Making Competition, Ladies Night, Duck Racing, Inflatable Foosball, Laois Archery, Rush Making Workshop, Art Workshop, Ceramics Workshop, Mice Racing, Garry Games, & much more with further information on events available on our website.
Please check opening times daily, Week-ends & Bank Holiday opening at 11am, Scarecrow Village Week-day opening from 2pm-9pm Art & Craft Exhibit, Ranch, Pet farm, Old World Farm Machinery Exhibit, Large Hay Bale Area, Scarecrow Harry Potter Interactive Zone open from 11am Daily. Scarecrows are on display throughout the town every day between and during opening times!
Entry Fee to scarecrow village:- €3 per adult on 30th July and August 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th August children are free every day except for Monday 7th August for IWW wrestling, Monday 31st July to Thursday 3rd Aug Adults €2 Children Free, Teenagers 13-18 €1 and €3 for IWW Wrestling Entry Fee to Arts & Crafts:- Adults €2, Children Free
